The city of Menifee, in keeping with the state-mandated plan to reduce the housing shortage, is providing free Permit Ready Accessory Dwelling Units Plans available online. The permit ready and code-compliant construction plans include various floor plan options and architectural styles.Last year, California passed Assembly Bill 671 that requires cities to create more ways for residents, if they so choose, to construct accessory dwelling units for relatives on their properties to help provide more housing in the state that is needed.
